Mail Agent is Shareware. If you decide to use it, you must register by payng $59 for each copy. You can use the accompanying Register program to make your payment. The Register program lets you pay with non-US currencies, credit cards, checks, virtual cash, etc. It also allows you to send your payment via fax or email.

  8. What it is:

  10. Mail Agent 1.2.1 is a FileMaker Pro 4.0 Plugin. It allows user to send email directly from inside FileMaker Pro.

  12. What it requires:

  14. • 60020 processor or better, including all PowerPC machines.
  15. • System 8.0 or higher.
  16. • FileMaker Pro 4.0 or higher.
  17. • Appearance Manager 1.0.1 or higher.
  18. • OpenTransport Manager 1.2 or higher.
  19. • Stuffit Engine™ 4.0 or higher (for compressing attachments).

  21. How to install:

  23. Simply drag Mail Agent Plugin in FileMaker Extension folder and launch FileMaker Pro.

  38.         Set or Add a file as attachment, the parameter to pass to the command is a path to a file
  39.         (ie. "Macintosh HD:Folder 1:image.jpeg")
  40.         If Stuffit Engine™ is detected the file is compressed than binhexed and send, otherwise the file is checked with Internet Config MIME Types, if recognized the MIME Type is used to define the file in the mail, else it is passed as 'text/plain'. All attachements, not compressed with Stuffit Engine™ are encoded with base64.

  43. • Get Next Message.
  44.         Return next email present on server.
  45. Both these commands accept a parameter specifing account from which download emails, in the following format: name:password@pop.domain.com (ie. smith:pass@pop.filemakerpro.com).
